DISRUPTION: Train services are disrupted and rail replacement buses are running this morning

Comments (2)

A LANDSLIP at Oxted in Surrey is causing disruption to train services in East Grinstead this morning (February 11).

There will now be a half-hourly train service running between Oxted and East Grinstead.

And there are replacement buses between East Grinstead and Three Bridges (departing on the hour; at quarter past; half past; and quarter to the hour at East Grinstead and Three Bridges).

There has been no explanation from Southern why they have been unable to arrange a simple 7 minute bus transfer from Woldingham to Oxted. Instead their long-suffering customers are forced to travel by long-distance bus to Redhill and Three Bridges almost doubling the total journey time. And don't say "flooding on the A22". Everyone knows this is further up the A22.

Shame you can't use a picture of a train and station on the actual line affected, on the actual day......sad that I know this, but Southern trains are green, not yellow, and we haven't been wearing just shirts since last summer!
